Blue Flounce Skirt

I am just loving flounce skirts. They are so feminine and flirty yet comfortable since they're not tight like pencil skirts. Paired with plaid, tights, and booties, I think this look is perfect for the fall or winter. I realize I've been wearing a TON of blue lately, but I just can't stop! I used to despise navy, however now I'm finding myself craving it. I think the different shades of blue here are really fun and adding elements of silver and gray really pulls it all together.

Frameri Pop-Up Event

On Friday night, I was invited to the pop-up event/launch party of Frameri at a boutique called Article in Cincinnati's Over-The-Rhine district. Frameri is an online eyeglass and sunglasses boutique with a unique proposition of being able to pop out lenses and interchange them between frames. Their mission is simple:

Simply put, we design glasses for actual glasses wearers. We took everything we love about glasses, kept it, and threw out all the rest. No more changing frames every time your prescription changes or overpaying for glasses. Quality lenses you can buy when you need them, and beautifully crafted frames whenever you want to add them to your collection.

So, on Friday night, I joined the Frameri team and got to peruse their collection, sip on some drinks, and chat about all things eyewear. I even tried on a few fun pairs. I think tortoiseshell is officially my go-to print for eyewear!

Bookshelf Styling

I told you guys I would be sneaking in some posts other than fashion around here. Mike and I recently added a big, cozy chair to our family room so we did some rearranging with the existing decor in that room. I changed up this bookshelf and love how it turned out! I think adding books of different sizes in different configurations is one of the easiest ways to keep shelving interesting. Add some decorative objects in your color scheme and you're good to go. This room is a collection of neutrals, greens, and golds so I melded all that together in this bookshelf. And of course, fresh flowers never hurt!

Glitter & Gold

Y'all know by now that I love gold. However, around the holidays, that love grows exponentially. Here, I've paired gold sequined elbow patches with a gold polka dotted blouse for the ultimate girly look. I found this sweater at Banana Republic last year and immediately fell in love. It's perfect for fall or winter and is so festive. I added in cognac and teal accents to insert some contrast.
