March Instas

Here we are. Another month has come and gone! Before we dive into April, I thought I'd share some non-travel instas. I know I already shared instas from Mexico and India (here and here), but below are some snaps from the good ol' USA! As always, let me know if you have any questions on sizing or anything. I'm so excited to only have minimal travel in April so I can enjoy my time at home with my hubby and friends (and hopefully some warmer weather)!

Navy & Marigold with eShakti

Today I'm teaming up with eShakti to bring you their gorgeous collection of dresses, tops, and skirts. When they approached me to collaborate, I couldn't wait to scour their beautiful pieces to find the perfect dress for me. If you can't tell by my posts on Instagram here and here, I am on a serious navy kick. When I saw this dress with the sheer sleeves and marigold floral detail, I knew it had to get in my closet. The best part about eShakti is that everything is custom made for you. Therefore, this dress fits like a true dream! I paired the dress with gold accents and I absolutely love the way it turned out. Now that I have this dress, I am feeling the need to get so many more of their pieces! How chic is this one?! Perfect for work or an event. So, thank you eShakti, for making me feel like a million bucks!

Spring Transitional Look

Today's edition of Friday Finds is going to be some outfit inspiration! Now that spring fashion is starting to take over store fronts and websites, I figured I'd leave you with some pieces I think are perfect for the upcoming season, either together or separately. I used to really despise navy. I wondered how my sister could look so good in it and I just looked drab. I just realized I was doing it wrong! Navy is a great shade year round, but I think it's especially perfect to transition from winter to spring. My favorite way to transition with navy is to pair it with a bright shoe and some crisp accessories. It is incredibly easy to look polished and ready for whatever the spring months have in store for you. Below are some pieces that together look great for a bridal shower, baby shower, date night, or even work function. How do you guys feel about navy as a transitional shade?

Ok, now I REALLY swear this will be my last post with snow in the background. But don't worry, these images are from a few weeks ago.  It's warmed up since then! Anyway, I've said before how glad I am that wide-leg jeans are back. They're a great way to switch it up from my everyday skinnies and look super cool. I've styled mine here before in a more casual way but this time I dressed them up to go to a birthday dinner. The jeans paired with leopard pumps and a classic handbag create the perfect ensemble for a night out. The color palette is basic but is still interesting with a pop of print and some statement jewelry. What do you guys think of wide-leg jeans?!

Matching Set

I have always been that girl that's been matchy-matchy. I've gotten better about print-mixing and color clashing as I've gotten older, but I'm still a sucker for the perfect match. This set from Piperlime was certainly no exception. I bought this set forever ago in anticipation of our nephew's baptism and I was so glad to finally wear it!

Coordinating Set: piperlime (extra 30% off with code SPRINGCHIC!) // Shoes: Kate Spade (most similar) // Bag: Gigi NY // Necklace: purchased in India (love this one) // Watch: Michael Kors // V Ring: Charming Charlie // Earrings: Target (these are gorgeous)

Drop Waist Pink & Leopard

I wore this look out on Saturday night in my hometown with my best friends. We had some drinks at my house then went downtown for dinner and drinks and had the best time. It's still chilly in the Chicagoland area, so the long sleeves on this dress were perfect. And of course I was so excited to take my Clare V. out for her first spin! The strappy black heels paired well with the leopard spots and I added in some gold jewelry to complete the look. This dress looks more coral in these photos but it's actually more pinkish/red.

Dress: J.Crew Factory // Shoes: Avenue (old but love these) // Earrings: ILY Couture // Necklace: Target (old but this is fun) // Clutch: Clare V. // Watch: Michael Kors

Back to Basics

We took these photos over the weekend when we were at my parents house and we actually ventured out to my elementary school to shoot! Being there had me feeling all the feels. Lately, I've been truly amazed at how fast time is flying. This June marks 6 years since I started my career and this July is my 10 year high school reunion! Whew. Anyway, how amazing is this dress from Pretty Pony Boutique?! When we were working on our collaboration, Katie and I went in store to pick out some pieces and I HAD to have this one. I know, I have a dress JUST like it. But this one has pockets! I love the fit of it, as well. I wore this for a day of running around town and hanging out with family and it was perfect. Cute, cozy, comfy, and functional. See how Katie styled hers here for a slightly more dressed up look.

Dress: Pretty Pony Boutique (identical for $12) // Denim Jacket: Gap // Bag: Chanel (under $200 option) // Shoes: Target // Aviators: nearly identical // Watch: Michael Kors // Gold & White Bracelet: J.Crew Factory // Rings: herehere, and here

Baby Blues

Happy Friday! Mike and I are heading to Chicago today to spend the weekend with friends & family and to celebrate the baptism of our nephew! Before, we go, I wanted to share my Friday Finds. This week, it's all products! I was perusing Piperlime the other day when I realized that everything I was throwing in my cart was some shade of powder blue. Why don't I wear this shade more?! It's GORGEOUS. So, I figured since I came to this amazing realization, why not share it with my fellow shopaholics? ;) Below are some of my favorite baby blue picks for the upcoming spring season. If you haven't heard, Piperlime is closing its doors in April which is giving me major anxiety. Don't forget to shop before it's too late! Do you all love this shade as much as I do?!

Weekend Wear

I am so done with winter clothes. Lucky for me I spent half of February in India and a weekend in March in Mexico so I received some escape but I still would be happy to not have to wear a coat again until next November. Cincinnati is supposed to climb back up into the 50s and 60s (hopefully for good), so now I'm in full transition mode. I am also so ready to not have snow in the background! I wore this look to brunch a couple weekends ago with one of my best friends. It was casual, cute, and perfect for running errands afterwards. I love layering plaids with sweatshirts and this combo was no exception.
