I can NOT believe it's Halloween weekend! One of my best friends from home is coming to visit this weekend and one of my best friends here is having a party so it should be a great weekend! Stay tuned or follow me on snapchat (preets09) to see the shenanigans of this weekend!  Check out this week's links and let me know in the comments what your plans are!

PRODUCT FINDS

This hat is so darling and under $50. You will wear it all winter long.

These earrings are classic and gorgeous!

If blackwatch plaid and jacquard had a baby, and it was a full skirt, it'd be this beauty.

These booties are what dreams are made of. Navy and fringe? Yes please!

I just ordered this palette and can't wait for it to arrive! Order now because it will sell out.

NON-PRODUCT FINDS

This looks awesome.

Not going to lie, I'm tempted.

This drink sounds perfect for this weekend!

Are we instagram friends yet? If not, we should be! [shameless plug]

For all my past and present brides, this is hilarious and so accurate.

Olive + Cranberry

People who have known me a long time know how I have this need to always be matching and coordinating. I've done it since a little girl and I don't see myself stopping as I get older. However, I am getting more comfortable playing with complementary color palettes. The colors in this outfit scream fall to me. I've styled this dress before herehere, + here, but never with another bold color. I thought I'd go outside of my comfort zone and try pairing it with these cranberry booties. Surprisingly, I love it! I wore this on our drive home from Gatlinburg and it was cozy and comfortable.

Vest Season

I'll admit it. I'm addicted to vests. I have them in so many shapes and styles that I've lost count. I knew for our trip to Gatlinburg that I wanted to pack one of my excursion vests. The second that we got into town, we set out to explore the city. We wanted to go to the moonshine distillery, and when we were parking, we stumbled upon this gorgeous creek. We climbed down and got these gorgeous photos. I just love all the nature that Gatlinburg has to offer.  It was so beautiful and peaceful. This look was perfect for our day of exploring. I only wish I had worn bean boots instead of sneakers! But I love the print mixing here and it was just enough layers for the fall temps.

Clingsman Dome

The highlight of our trip to Gatlinburg for me was our hike to the top of Clingmans Dome. Being borned and raised in the Midwest, Tennesee was never really on my radar. In all honesty, when I thought of TN, I really only thought of Nashville. But since moving to Cincinnati 4.5 years ago, I've heard a ton of people rave about Gatlinburg. Mike used to go all the time when he was younger and he always said how great it was. So, for a weekend getaway, we decided to go down there. I didn't really know what to expect, but it totally blew me away. The scenary is just unreal. It almost looks like a painting everywhere you look. I'm sure the fact we went in the middle of fall helped since the colors were just stunning. So, we made it our mission to hike to the top of Clingsman Dome. This unexpectedly turned into one of my favorite views I've ever seen in my life. And I've traveled quite a bit! The hike is short enough for beginners, but since it's all uphill, it's still a workout! I kept my look easy and comfy for the hike, sporting my all-time favorite Nikes. The drive to the trail is also stunning and there are other trails and little stop off points for taking pictures. We stopped probably 6 times on the way to back to downtown to snap photos. These are only a few of the photos we took because otherwise this post would've been 100 pictures long! If you ever find yourself in that part of the country, make it a point to get to there!

Glam in Sequins

A few weekends ago, Thread Cincinnati teamed up with Queen City Vignette to do a really fun glam shoot in their space. This will be an ongoing collaboration between Thread and QCV, so stay tuned for the first edition in early November. I cannot WAIT to share the images from that day. But for now I wanted to share what I wore. When I think of glam, I immediately think of sequins, fur, and fun embellishments. I've worn sequin skirts before (here + here) but this look just felt more special. This skirt was a clearance score I found last winter, and it's been sitting in my closet with the tags since. I thought this would be the perfect time to bring it out. I can't believe I'm already saying this, but I think this look would be perfect for holiday parties, cards, or even New Years Eve.
