Monochrome Tones

Happy Halloween! In honor of the holiday, I wanted to share this look that's sort of orange and black, thanks to this amazing sweater. This is another piece I've worn to death [seen here + here] and I'm seriously obsessed. This color is perfect for fall and I thought the monochromatic look with the boots and clutch was spot on for the season. I've been loving wearing similar shades of the same color [last done here] and think it's a great way to get the most out of your wardrobe. When I love a certain color, I tend to buy a lot of pieces in it. Wearing them all together looks super chic and takes minimal effort. Hope you all have a fun and safe day and thanks for stopping by!

Sweater: BP [similar here + here + here, nearly identical here] // Leggings: Topshop // Boots: Steve Madden [obsessed, 30% off!] // Clutch: Clare V [more affordable option here] // Necklace: Kate Spade // Sunnies: here

Dillon's Favorites - 5 Weeks Old

It's been 7 days since we brought Dillon home and we are just in heaven having our baby home with us. When I ruptured at 23 weeks and had him at 30 weeks + 3 days, we were flooded with all the scary possibilities that his future would hold. But he sure showed us otherwise. After 32 days in the NICU, we were out the door! Now that we're transitioning to life at home with a 5 week old, I thought I'd share the products that we've been loving now that our NICU journey is over. These are the items we are definitely using on a daily basis. Some of these are featured in his nursery tour and my NICU mama must-haves, but I wanted to share exactly why we've been loving them most recently. I think this would be helpful for all first-time mamas on what really is and isn't necessary when it comes to newborn essentials and what you use the most. I know all babies are different but with Dillon being a preemie, these are the items that have made the transition so easy. I think I may make this a series and share the items we're loving most at different stages of his life. Let me know if you'd like to see that or if you have any questions about anything I've shown. I'm also all ears if there is something I should try incorporating into our routine!

Fall Grays

I've worn the heck out of this top [seen here and here], but I wanted to try to mix it up a bit. I thought pairing it with the herringbone vest and some OTK boots would make it super appropriate for fall. The monochromatic color scheme is perfect for everyday. These sunglasses are my go-tos and some fun silver accessories tied the look all together. These OTK boots are a score from the #nsale and I love how they trick you into thinking I have long legs! All in all, this look is cute and comfortable for everyday and pairs some old and new favorites for the perfect fall ensemble.

Top: Nordstrom // Vest: JCrew Factory // Leggings: Topshop // Boots: Charles David [similar here] // Bag: Prada // Necklace: Kendra Scott c/o // Sunnies: similar here // Ring: Uncommon Goods c/o // Watch: Michael Kors

Dillon's Star Wars Nursery Reveal!

ICYMI: We got to bring Dillon home yesterday! In honor of this momentous occasion, I am so excited to share Dillon's nursery on the blog today! This was quite the labor of love as we did most of it via FaceTime and online shopping while I was on bed rest. Once we learned it was a boy, we quickly decided on a space/Star Wars theme. Mike was super into the idea and I thought it would be cute for him as we really didn't want to do animals or cars/trains. It seems there are less themes for boys than girls! All things considered, I think it's adorable! God bless online shopping and email. I'm going to do my best to link everything below. Let me know in the comments if I missed something that you're curious about. I hope you love it as much as we do!

Olive + Leopard + A Pop Of White

If there's one thing I love as much as oxblood and leopard, it's olive green and leopard [seen here, here, and here]. This combination is truly one of my favorites and one I gravitate to immediately once the first fall breeze arrives. This dress was an #nsale score and I just love it. The fit is comfortable enough for everyday, but the collar and lace up detail make it interesting. The crossbody bag and flats are my staples for my busy mom life. This is definitely something I can wear in my day to day and I adore it. Side note, this brand of flats is a GAME CHANGER. They're so comfortable but also fold up to fit in your bag. As someone who admittedly doesn't last very long in most heels, having a pair of flats in my bag is a perfect back-up plan.

Dress: WAYF [love this one] // Bag: Forever 21 [similar here] // Flats: Yosi Samra [super similar here] // Watch: Michael Kors // Cuff: Banana Republic // Earrings: Vanessa Mooney [great option] // Sunnies: Coach // Ring: Kendra Scott
