Black Lace + Bell Sleeves

Ok, how FUN is this top?! The bell sleeves are just to die for! When it first arrived, I was a little bummed that it was entirely lace/see-through, because it meant I had to wear a cami. But honestly, I think it makes it even more versatile because you could wear a flesh-colored one for a more sexy vibe. You know I'm all about making my closet work smarter! This top is super affordable and a great one to throw on and go. You could even dress it down with shorts and sneakers in the spring/summer. I kept it true to my style with gold details and I love how this look came together. Chic and practical. Done and done!

Top: SheIn c/o // Jeans: Nordstrom Rack [selling out fast, similar here under $40] // Shoes: old [super similar here] // Bag: Gucci // Sunnies: here [only $14] // Cuff: Nordstrom [only $12]

Friday Finds

Friday, we meet again! We had a busy week including a well visit for Dillon [his 4 month checkup!] and dinner with a girlfriend, and now it's on to the weekend! I've got another low-key one planned, but I'm savoring all my time with D before I go back to work in 2 weeks. Below is what I've been loving lately. Enjoy!

These pumps are a great dupe of a certain shoe from SATC, at a fraction of the price!

These sunnies are so fun and currently 20% off! #addtocart

My favorite fragrance has a new addition!

This post from Katey on 10 ways to be happier is definitely worth the read.

Throwing a bridal shower this year? This read has some great tips.

Thanks to Kathleen, I've got dinner covered for next week!

Valentine's Day Dress

Happy hump day! Notice a change? I cut and colored my hair for the first time in a YEAR! I went with a chocolate cherry color just to freshen things up. What do you think?! Now for today's look. Valentine's [or Galentine's for all the single ladies] Day is one of my favorite holidays to dress up for. Regardless of your plans, there's so many cute options. This dress I'm wearing here would be darling for a date night with your honey. If you're staying in with Netflix and a tub of ice cream, these PJs would be my pick. This top would be a showstopper for a girls night out! But back to this dress. The pom pom detailing is so adorable and this dress feels great without breaking the bank. It's only $24! I kept it fun and fresh by adding in some mixed metal accessories. I wanted to share this now so that you'd have time to order and get the dress before the big day! What will you be wearing on February 14th?! Leave me a comment; I'd love to hear!

Dress: SheIn c/o [spend a little more here] // Bag: Clare V. // Shoes: Valentino [affordable dupe here] // Sunnies: Ray-Ban [under $20 version here] // Watch: Michael Kors // Cuff: old [real deal here]

Neutral Sneaker Round-Up & Review

I mentioned in this post how as I get older, I feel my style evolving to a more neutral place. That's not to say I don't love a good dose of color every now and then [like here], but overall, I feel comfortable investing in pieces that can be mixed and matched in my closet. Especially now that I'm a mom, along with being more neutral, my style definitely reflects comfort. Enter sneakers. I've always had a love for flats, but in the past 6 months or so, I've really elevated my sneaker game. I thought this would be a fun post to put together my favorites, why I like them, and ideas on how to style them. I've tried to include as much detail as possible but let me know if you have any specific questions I didn't answer!

These are my "cool" sneakers. I throw these on when I want a look to be a bit more edgy or exciting. The velcro also makes them super easy to strap on and go. The color is neutral but different than anything else I have. I found these to run a tad big. I still got my normal 8.5 but I think they're just a bit wide for my feet, so keep that in mind. When I have socks on they feel fine. Overall, I love these sneakers and the interesting element they provide any outfit!

These are my everyday sneakers. They're white and really lightweight, which makes them perfect for errand-running and baby-carrying. I had some knockoff Converse that were older than dirt, so I finally pitched those and sprung for these. They're a bit different than your basic white sneaker but still really timeless. These run a little big, so I got a size 8, instead of 8.5 and they fit great.

These menswear-inspired sneakers are definitely out of my comfort zone but I loved how comfortable they were. Why do guys get all the comfy stuff?! I love that these are gray, because I have a ton of gray, black, and white in my closet that these go with. I found these to run TTS and really are so comfy.

These are probably the oldest pair I have out of this neutral lot. Whenever I'm in doubt of which pair to wear, I usually grab these. Leopard is a neutral, after all! These are beyond comfortable and have been everywhere with me. You can make them more preppy by mixing them with a plaid blanket scarf, or toughen them up with a leather jacket. I really think everyone should have a pair of these in your closet. You just can't go wrong. Again, my exact ones are old, but I linked the closest pair I could find and what I'll likely buy as a backup for these.

Dalmatian-print sneakers? Yes, please! I love, love, love the print on these. While these exact ones are pretty hard to come by, Nordstrom offers a ton of varieties in this style. These sneakers are the definition of athleisure to me. I throw these on when I know I have some serious walking ahead of me. While I wouldn't recommend these for actually working out, they're a great walking sneaker. I got these in my normal 8.5.

Friday Finds

Friday, we meet again! I cannot believe I only have 3 weeks left of maternity leave. The last 4 months have flown by. I'm getting my hair cut and colored tomorrow for the first time in a YEAR and I cannot wait! I'll definitely share with you guys what I end up doing. Other than that it should be a pretty low key weekend. Below is what I've been loving lately. Enjoy!

They're baaaaaaaack.

I can't stop thinking about this dress. How dreamy!

This top has me craving a tropical vacation and it's under $25!

8 things to try this month. 4, 5, and 6 have my name all over them! How about you?!

This is a great read for all young adults on the art of friendship.

This made me LOL.

Dream Dress

You know when you see a dress and you just have to have it? This dress was that for me. My mother-in-law got me a gift card for Christmas with strict instructions to treat myself. This is more than I normally like to spend on a dress but I knew it'd be one I'll love forever. The best part is it's so versatile. I can wear it with boots like I did here in the winter, with pumps for a dressier occasion, and with sneakers when I want to dress it down. I have tons of dresses but most fit a very specific situation. I can see myself wearing this one in a variety of situations. And that, to me, makes it worth every penny. Do you have any dresses in your closet that you know you'll never part with?!

Dress: DVF [also available here, same print here, & similar $25 option here]  // Bag: Prada // Cuff: Nordstrom [only $12] // Watch: Michael Kors // Boots: Charles David // Sunnies: here // Lips: Infallible Paints [shade 312]
